Canada home tutoring is a wholly Canadian owned supplementary educational service. We believe in providing quality tutoring and coaching services in as convenient a way as possible.

Canada Home Tutoring began in 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta. At the time the company specialized in math tutoring, which the founder, Doyle Raglon, believed was a weak point in the general education system. As time went on, he expanded the services to include other core subjects.

In 1983, Mr. Raglon opened the International Test Preparation Centre. This second arm of the company was set up to provide coaching services for students taking the various standardized tests required for certain educational programs. His focus was on the DAT, because he felt that the Canadian DAT was very poorly taught. His chief complaint was that most commercial courses neglected to instruct in soap carving, an important component of the exam in Canada. As time passed, ITPC began teaching courses and offering individual coaching for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, MACT, TOEFL, SAT and a select few others.

Currently the company is expanding its services. Our goal is to offer professional supplemental instruction in needed areas to as wide a range of students as we can. In the last year we have expanded our subject tutoring services into Calgary, Saskatoon, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnpeg. Over the next year we plan to operate Province wide in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

In addition, International Test Prep is also expanding. We have been active in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg for some time. We are now moving to Regina and London, and have plans for other locations as well.

We will also be offering our services online for those students who are not able to meet in person with tutors or coaches. For the standardized exams especially this will allow clients from any location to benefit, since these tests are the same no matter where you take them. So long as a student can work with English instruction, the student can make use of our expertise.
