Write and Publish Your Own Ebook

It's the dream of most writers to be published. Sometimes, though, it's a very rough road. Here's one way you can get around the odds without spending a fortune on vanity publishing. You can self-publish your own Ebook. It's not the same as being a printed author, granted, but it can give you some leverage. If your ebooks get good sales generally, you may be able to use that as an argument in your favor when negotiating a publishing contract for an as yet unpublished book. If you have a particular niche interest that regular publishers don't share, you can make an Ebook to share with others who have similar interests. The best part is, once the book is written, there are no production costs, and since you can email or send customers to a secure download site, there is no chance of damage or loss in transit.

This ebook tells you all about how to produce your own ebooks. The author gives you the table of contents up front so you can get a feel for what is in the book before you commit to anything. If you are interesting in getting paid for your writing, but don't have the time or energy to go through traditional publishing routes, this may be the book for you.

E-Course: How to Write and Publish Your Novel

The author of this one offers two options, a no frills course that covers all the information but lacks the bonuses for $19.95 and a full version with a lot of bonuses for $197.00. Either one is a good value, but the no frills is probably all most people will need. The author is pretty thorough in topics covered, and she even goes into protecting your work (copyright) which is something left out of a number of similar products.

E-Book-O-Matic

E-Book-O-Matic is a complete ebook compilaing and marketing system. With this package you get your ebook compiled, and you get your own sales site including shopping cart software. The fee is one time, and lets you publish unlimited ebooks, as well as giving you some customer communications tools. If you're looking for advice on how to write, this isn't the program you want, but if you want a turnkey marketing method for your ebooks, this may be of interest.

Note, however, that even though someone else is publishing your ebook for you, this is still considered self-publishing, since there is no rejection and no third party review. If you want to get publication credit, you'll have to keep shopping around for a traditional style publisher.

The software creator gives you the step by step process for desining a professional looking cover with his software, and gives some free articles on how a good cover can help sell your product. If you're good with graphics, you probably don't need this. If you're like me, hopeless artisticly, then this may be the help you're looking for.

Professionally Designed Ebook Covers
