Paid Surveys

There are a lot of paid survey sites on the net. Not all are created equal. When signing up for surveys, check the terms of the site. Some will offer you a chance at winning a drawing for cash or prizes. These are not good for creating an income since they are unpredictable. You can never be sure if you will ever get paid for your work, since your name might never be drawn. Others will offer goods in exchange for the survey. If they also offer free shipping, and the stuff they offer as incentives are things you would be inclined to buy anyway, then this can be a good program. To get a real income from surveys, however, you must get into the programs that offer to pay you for taking the surveys every time. These can take some time to get going, since you will have to establish a reputation for being reliable and willing to do the work. Be prepared for a slow start up.

Many of the resources listed below are paid lists of companies that offer paid surveys in one form or another. Do not sign up for all of them. In fact I would not recommend signing up for more than one of them, simply because there can only be so many companies doing this so the lists probably look very similar. I am a member of Survey Scout but that was only because it was the first one I found. I think their listing is very inclusive and I am happy with the services I receive there, but I suspect the other programs are very similar. I will repeat, sign up for one and only one survey list. Once you start making money from the surveys, maybe you'll want to sign up for more and compare, but at the start stick with one, and register for as many survey programs on their list as you qualify for and that pay out reliably.

When you start registering for these survey programs, create a new email account for surveys only. The last thing you want is to lose a decent payout because you deleted the invitation along with all the junk you receive. Make sure you check that email frequently, since the surveys can fill up quickly, and you want to develop a reputation for reliability.
